steam Thermolier Heating
...to understand
- Turnbull & Scott undertook a significant heating improvement project for a leading global provider of paper-based packaging solutions at their North of England West Auckland converting and storage facility.
The primary objectives were optimising heating efficiency and eliminating damaging condensation issues critical to maintaining cardboard product quality.
The facility's substantial size (128 metres long by 97 metres wide and 6 to 7 metres in height) and the required internal temperature maintenance of 18°C during external temperatures as low as -5°C presented specific heating challenges.
...to solve
- We installed 16 Thermolier Space Heaters, chosen for their exceptional efficiency, rapid heat exchange capabilities, and easy installation. These units provided immediate heat distribution, minimal maintenance, and flexible control, meeting the industrial demands of the client's facility.
Our comprehensive mechanical infrastructure upgrade included replacing outdated unit heaters, condensate pipework, and essential steam control valves. We reconnected fresh air inlet ducting efficiently, substantially improving air circulation and moisture management.
Robust mechanical insulation and a new condensate drainage system ensured sustained optimal performance and further addressed condensation problems.
