    Insulation type

    1. Well Insulated: Advanced construction with Brick-Cavity-Brick, double-skinned translucent panel windows, and well-insulated roofing materials.
    2. Moderately Insulated: Standard construction with a solid thick brick layer, double glazing windows, and standard roofing.
    3. Poorly Insulated: Simple construction with a thin brick layer, single glazing windows, and a simple roof.
    4. Not Insulated: Basic structures made of wood or corrugated metal.

    Ventilation Heat Loss Calculation

    In our model, we've set Air Changes Per Hour (ACH) to 1 by default, meaning the entire volume of air in the building is exchanged with the outside air once every hour. The formula to calculate ventilation heat loss in watts is:

    Q_vent = (ACH * volume * air density * specific heat of air * ΔT) / 3600

    For practical use, we then convert watts to kilowatts by dividing by 1000.
